The ceremony started with Vice-Chancellor Professor Eva Åkesson welcoming everyone and then Vice-Rector Professor Stellan Sandler´s speech emphasized our position among the best 100 universities in the world in part due to the fact that we attract good researchers among our Master students! Associate Professor Mats Målqvist, the coordinator for the Master programme in Global Health gave a speech on behalf of the Master Program Committee. Students from ten different Master programs were awarded their diplomas, starting with International Health, our largest program, and then Public Health, Infection Biology, Medical Research, Medical Nuclide Techniques, Forensic Science, Molecular Medicine, Biomedicine and the Erasmus Mundus program Innovative Medicine. Then, a unique event; the first thirteen Master students ever in the world in Pharmaceutical modelling were also awarded by their coordinator Pär Mattsson.

And she thought that there is no better place to be a Master student than Uppsala, due to the student nations!

The Choir Canorus were singing typical Swedish spring songs, a Swedish polska and two English graduation songs and in the end welcomed everybody to Sweden with Kents song Sverige! The ceremony ended with the Dean from the Medical Faculty, talking about the importance of everybody joining our Alumni organization and the Alumni chapters in the world.
