Centre for Clinical Research Västerås

The Center for Clinical Research in Västerås is run by Uppsala University and Region Västmanland together. One of several main tasks is to conduct research in direct contact with patients, for example in the form of drug studies or other therapy studies. Another type of research that is conducted at CCR Västerås is so-called translational research, which means that you transfer findings from basic research to practical clinical work. Another main task is the coaching and training of doctoral students to become independent researchers.

The work at CCR Västerås takes place in well-defined research projects. There is a combined expertise in scientific methodology, biostatistics and epidemiology. Activities are aimed at all health care personnel. We work together to raise the standard of the routine healthcare provided by the Region.
