REGISTER

For the NorDoc summer school 2023 in Uppsala & Solna, we employ a principle of "Payment first • Registration second". This will work in the way that participant - as singletons or in groups - submit their payment, after which a registration code is issued. 

This code is subsequently used as a 'receipt' when the participants enter their personal information such as name, address, affiliation, food preferences, intent to present a poster, etc. in the on-line participant database via a link provided after payment. Each code will be valid for one participant.

Method of payment will depend on your institutional routines, but there are four possible options as outlined below:

A. For institutions, departments or groups that wish to pay for two or more participants.

  • Send a formal order defining number of participants, billing address and payment identifier ('faktureringsreferens') to: Anders.Backlund@farmbio.uu.se
  • An invoice will be issued and returned for your subsequent payment.
  • After payment has ben received, a number of unique codes will be provided corresponding to the payment.

B. For Swedish institutions and participants that wish to pay for a single participant - first option.

  • Pay to "PlusGiro-account" 955792-7 which belongs to Uppsala Universitet, and with the payment provide the projekt identifier ”400141250 NorDoc” and your e-mail address.

C. For Swedish institutions and participants that wish to pay for a single participant - second option.

  • Pay via "Swish" to number "1231320985" provide the project identifier ”400141250 NorDoc” and your e-mail address.

D. For institutions and participants abroad that wish to pay for a single participant - only option.

  • Pay via international bank transfer to:

  • ...and provide clearly project identifier ”orgnr. 400 NorDoc" and your e-mail address.

The participation fee is flat rate 1000 SEK for each participant.

Registration codes and a link to the on-line participant database will be provided after payment has been received and registered, which may take a couple of days.

Last day for payment is 14 July 2023.

TRAVEL & STAY

Uppsala is located 70 kilometers north of Stockholm and is easily reached by train and air (via Arlanda airport, located 35 kilometers south of Uppsala). While visiting our city, you can reach most central locations on foot.

TRAVEL TO UPPSALA BY AIR

Uppsala is located 35 kilometres north of Arlanda Airport, Sweden’s largest airport. For information regarding the airport as well as departures and arrivals, visit the Stockholm Arlanda Airport website.

From Arlanda Airport, you can comfortably continue to Uppsala with either the airport buses or direct trains.

The airport bus 801 leaves every 30 minutes (bus fare approx. SEK 100). The ride takes 40 minutes and stops at Uppsala Railway Station. Information about bus tickets. You can also take the train from Arlanda (Sky City) to Uppsala. The trip takes 18 minutes and costs around SEK 200.

Going by taxi costs approx. SEK 600 and takes about 30 minutes. Always use taxis with signs on top of the car. Tips are included in the fare. Ask for a fixed price. Payment with credit card is allowed.

Stockholm Skavsta Airport and Bromma Stockholm Airport are other airports located one to two hours from Uppsala.

TRAVEL TO UPPSALA BY TRAIN

A number of national and international trains have Stockholm as their final destination. In Stockholm you can change to the local train to Uppsala (SJ Regional) which departs approximately every 30 minutes. You can check train timetables and book tickets through SJ.
