Research in Medicine and Pharmacy

Cooperation between different research groups, departments, and faculties across the entire scientific domain is the foundation for the successful research achieved in the medical and pharmaceutical research in Uppsala. A close association with the University Hospital is also an important base for both the research and the educational quality.

Contact with other universities and university colleges, county councils, municipalities, industries and the surrounding society is a central part of the field of activities. Most of the research is of a fundamental nature but many of the research projects are driven together in close cooperation with commercial industries and the public sector.
